Eurowag took part in the celebrations of CORTE’s 20th anniversary

Eurowag took part in the celebrations of CORTE’s 20th anniversary, actively engaging in discussions on the development of European transport as well as control standards and technologies in the TSL sector.

Representatives of Eurowag, previously operating as the Inelo Group, have been cooperating with CORTE for over 15 years, contributing expert knowledge and practical experience while actively influencing the shape of European transport regulations.

Long-standing cooperation with CORTE

Representatives of Eurowag, previously operating as the Inelo Group, have been cooperating with CORTE for more than 15 years. Participation in the organisation’s activities allows us to anticipate legislative changes and actively contribute to the development of European standards in road transport control and technology.

Participation in the Enforcement Working Group

Our experts took part in meetings of the Enforcement Working Group. During these meetings, Piotr Żółty was appointed to the CORTE Executive Board. This important recognition confirms his commitment and active involvement in shaping transport regulations across Europe.

Discussions focused, among other topics, on:

• the installation of tachographs in light vehicles with a gross vehicle weight between 2.5 and 3.5 tonnes and the related challenges for drivers and transport operators,
• the preparation of five new RTMs (Remote Tachograph Monitoring) retrieved from tachographs via DSRC communication for remote monitoring purposes,
• technical difficulties related to entering manual records in tachographs over longer periods, covering different types of driver activities.

New tachograph functions – the “suitcase” symbol

The meetings also addressed a new pictogram in tachographs – the “suitcase” symbol, which will be used to mark periods of occasional passenger transport. Work on its implementation is still ongoing; however, it is already confirmed that drivers will not need to replace their cards. The latest G2V2 driver cards will be able to record this data without requiring replacement.
