A meeting of the Tachograph Expert Group, organized by the European Commission (EC) and the Directorate-General Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), was held on 6 February 2025.
On 27 January 2025, a meeting of the CORTE – Card Working Group was held, attended by representatives from Inelo, Eurowag Group: Małgorzata Pander, Piotr Żółty and Mateusz Włoch.

On 9 January 2025, the first regulations came into effect, allowing Member States to begin setting up their IT systems in preparation for going paperless in freight transportation.
Member States have agreed not to impose fines for failing to replace tachographs until 28 February 2025.
